The Collector Connection’s Post War Sports Cards & Memorabilia #50 auction is live now through August 9th, and lot #1 is the kind of piece that doesn’t come up often: a framed 1985 Star Team Supers uncut sheet carrying the pre-rookie cards of Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, alongside a stacked lineup of Hall of Famers. 1985 Star Team Supers Framed Uncut Sheet
This 25-card sheet is made up of four complete team sets:
- Philadelphia 76ers (10) — Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Moses Malone, and a Charles Barkley pre-rookie
- Chicago Bulls (5) — including the Michael Jordan HOF pre-rookie
- Boston Celtics (5) — Larry Bird, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale, and Dennis Johnson
- Milwaukee Bucks (5)
It’s double-sided in the frame, so both sides of the sheet are fully visible. There’s some light creasing from having been stored rolled at some point prior to framing — including light creases to the Jordan and Bird — but it’s minor and barely shows in photos. Third-party graders don’t currently grade full sheets, so the usual guarantee doesn’t apply here, but the consignor notes only two other examples of this sheet are known, both in noticeably lower condition. This may genuinely be the finest one out there.
Frame measures approximately 34.5″ x 49″. Given the size, local pickup (their office or an upcoming show) is a no-cost option worth considering.
